Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of tooth-colored material that is attached to the front of the tooth to create a more natural appearance. Used mainly to repair damage caused by decay or accident, veneers can also be used to repair discolored teeth. Patients with dental gaps or chipped or worn teeth may consider porcelain veneers. Veneers have a longer life expectancy and color stability than bonding and are highly resistant to staining while hiding imperfections and protecting teeth from damage. If the tooth is strong, a veneer is often a better option than a crown for improving appearance.

Some veneers are built up on the tooth directly using white filling material in office. Others are made out of porcelain by a Dental Technician from an impression of the tooth. This procedure entails at least three appointments for diagnosis, treatment planning, preparation, and bonding.

Contact our office today to schedule your consultation to determine if veneers are the best option for you!
